This is my 3rd JoCo. I am a ShutterNaut for this trip and I will be shooting at all of my events.
I am also running a Shadow event on Thursday at 3:15 called Playing with Light Painting.
It is for people who would enjoy moving around, perhaps to music, with a variety of light toys that I will be bringing. Participants (players?) are welcome to bring light toys of their own, but that is not needed. I have lots to go around. If you can juggle balls, that’d be fun. Bringing your phones would be very good. We can use the flashlights and I hope to have some colored transparent sheets to rubber band over the flashlight.
I will add that if you are a photographer, a tripod and remote shutter release are suggested.
This all started in the mid-90’s when I got the “kids” in our extended family to gather with sparklers and multicolor illuminated bands and moved around under my suggestions while my shutter was open. It got some fun results. My personal favorite was the random movements that produced my favorite- “Sparkler Duck”:
